Where Bergen became a city. Wednesdays at 11.30 (only in Norwegian)

Bryggen in Bergen has been inhabited for more than 1,000 years. Down below the earth, archaeologists have discovered many objects that tell us about what it was like to live in the Middle Ages. What toys do you think they had, and do you think it was different being a child back then? At the end of our walk, you’ll see ruins that not many people get to see; we enter a door under Nikolaikirkealmenning and look at the remains of Bergen’s first town hall, complete with wine cellar and two dungeons.

Meeting point Bryggens Museum.
