Bergenhus – from royal estate to military fortress. Thursdays at 14.00

Did you know that 800 years ago, this area, with Håkon’s Hall, was Norway’s royal palace, where all the important weddings were celebrated? There was also a monastery and many beautiful churches in this area, and many members of royalty were buried in one of them. You can also climb the steps to Sverresborg, one of the very first stone fortresses built in Norway.
