With Bryggen in your hand

Get the story at your own pace with QR codes on your mobile phone

Museum Vest / Hanseatic Museum and Bymuseet i Bergen/ Bryggen Museum has long worked with a digital storytelling "With Bryggen in your hand '- a cultural history of the world inheritance.

Visitors decide whether they want to read about each point or follow the many links to multiple texts and images. Through these QR points on Bryggen, a piloted through centuries of history and one can both learn something new and - preferably - be tempted to learn more.

The project is a collaboration between Bymuseet i Bergen and Museum West with funding from Hordaland County Council and the City of Bergen, and with help from the Foundation Bryggen wharf private landlord association, UBB, Cultural Heritage and Digital Museum and photographer Per Molvik

New opening hours at The Rosenkrantz Tower

The Rosenkrantz Tower is open Saturday and Sunday from 11-15 until 20 December 2018.

We are building a new medieval archaeological exhibition at Bryggens Museum

Bryggens Museum will be closed for construction of a new medieval archaeological exhibition from 4 September 2018 to May 2019.

The Rosenkrantz Tower

In the coming years, Statsbygg will secure this heritage site by restoring the roof and facades. The Rosenkrantz Tower is open to the public during the working period.
